The People’s Republic of China on the 25th January 2024 sign agreement with Antigua and Barbuda.  The cooperation agreements to further strengthen the level of relations between the two countries and advance the development of Antigua and Barbuda.

During Prime Minister Gaston Browne’s meeting with Premier Li Qiang, a number of MOU signed agreement included to address Climate Change under the framework of South-South Cooperation.  These agreement accelerate the Cooperation Plan and an agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption were signed.  This is great news for Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship By Investment Program  

Minister for Health, Wellness, Social Transformation and the Environment, Sir Molwyn Joseph  signed an agreement with Alibaba Damo Academy and Hospitals for the provision of equipment for early cancer screening and digital health and to provide doctors with AI-powered Innovative technology. 

The agreement also provides a framework for the identification of chronic diseases.

The Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Trade and Barbuda Affairs, E. P. Chet Greene signed an agreement on a Water Rehabilitation Project along with an agreement for the provision of equipment for the Port of St. John’s for aiding in the Anti-Narcotics Laboratory Project funded by China.  Minister Greene also signed an agreement between the China Media Group (CMG) and the Antigua and Barbuda Broadcasting Services (ABS) for strengthening development and cooperation.

What this means it strengthens the trade agreement between Antigua and Barbuda. 

The Antigua and Barbuda citizenship by investment program is one of the reputable Citizenship Caribbean. It was launched in 2013.

Investment starting from $100,000 there are four options: contributions to a state or university fund, real estate purchases, and business investments.
